The Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc is one of the most grueling trail races in the world. After winning in 2019 with a course-record time of 20:19:07, The North Face team athlete and ultra runner Pau Capell had one mission in mind: run the 106-mile trail in under 20 hours.
The Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc is one of the most grueling trail races in the world. After winning in 2019 with a course-record time of 20:19:07, The North Face team athlete and ultra runner Pau Capell had one mission in mind: run the 106-mile trail in under 20 hours.
The complexity of this iconic route needed to be shown visually in order to keep the viewer engaged as they followed Pau's difficult journey. Nifty worked closely with the filmmakers to design various map segments and different ways the route could be stylized within a fully CG environment.
The film has been seen by 100k global viewers within it's first month, all tuning in to follow Pau's incredible feat.
